Birthday Season... 7:54 AM

The birthday season has begun...we have SO many birthday all together that we combine a few at a time. Otherwise we would be eating cake every weekend for a loooong time.

...wait.

Is that a bad thing? Hmm...maybe we should rethink this!

Ok, onto the pics. ;)
Saturday we had a lovely party at J&J's house for Travis' first birthday party, Max, Zoe, Erin Joe and Rick (hmm...who am I missing?). It was great fun, and filled with lots of crafts (that was MY job!). It was fun. And I LOVE being in charge of crafts for the kids. I'm going to take on my new responsibility with pride. I'm already planning for our next gathering. ;)
I only have my phone pics, as we left our good camera at home in the toy room. Oops.

So here are my crappy pics. Look past the crappiness ok? ;)

For his birthday, Aunt Erin took Max out to pick out his OWN present. VERY exciting.
Hilarious was the fact that I had told him we were probably having Kraft Dinner for lunch before they left. So, Aunt Erin being the typical 'aunt' - took him to McDonalds! To which he would NOT eat!! He told her that Mommy said we were having Kraft Dinner, and as everyone knows...that's Max's favourite HANDS DOWN. LMAO!

Lexie is sporting Max's new 'Hulk Hands' that he picked out. :)

Craft time!! The kids LOVED painting. Of course!

Meanwhile Max was beating up Uncle Kevin with his 'Hulk Hands'.

Samantha showing me her painted egg. :)

Rachael and her perfectly painted bunny.

Finally, present time!! (I think Aunt Deb was the most impatient)

And, I was mean, because I made them all open separately. Some other people (who will remain namless - ERIN!) said they should all open at the same time and let it be crazy...
but I'm too civilized for that. ;) I want to see each present as it comes out!! And I can't do that if they all open at the same time!! I want to relish the moment!!!
And, I'm right. It's my blog, so I'm right. Ha!

Travis, not even one yet, and already has his own Harley Davidson leather jacket. Niiiice.

Cake time!!

First cake ever. He did great - and obviously loved it!! <3 br="">

And that was the end of that party. Whew! One more to go...

*****************

On Sunday we packed up again and went to my mom's house for MORE birthday parties!! This time it was for Zoe, Max, Jeff and Rick.
We had a yummy lunch, and then everybody got presents. Yippeee!!

So the kids were playing on the stairs, and I thought: What a great photo op!
Although...it didn't quite work. Oh well. ;)

Colby and Max playing with their RC cars. Grandpa and Uncle Jeff even make a big ramp!!!

Zoe on her new scooter! Instant love! <3 br="">

Posers.
 Happy Max. :)

Parties done...for now. Next week is Zoe's birthday (and Joe's too) so we'll have a small celebration that day. Then we have a couple weeks till the next one. ;)

Odds and Ends of Winter 2013 6:29 PM

I have my new sewing workstation all set up to sew now! Now all I need, is to learn how to sew. ;)

I've tried a few things - like this sock-skeleton for instance:

I think Zoe likes him the best. ;)
I've also made some bedding for a baby bunk-bed set we got for Zoe for her birthday. It looks pretty good (from afar). LMAO!!

"A fun snow day" was had by all...seriously, I swear Lexie was having a good time too...I swear!!!
 Zoe, aka Frosty.
Nope, she won't even LOOK at my camera, let alone smile. :S
This is as good as it gets.
Ella and Halle so proud of their snowman!
 Ryan, aka child labour. ;)
Ella and Halle SO proud of their snow dragon!

TOTALLY RANDOM PHOTO: Max, so proud of his potato volcano, that he made me take a pic of it. ;)

Colleen's surprise birthday party!! It's great being 35, although lonely for that week (until she turned 35 too!)
Happy with her basket of 'stuff she loves'. :)

Really, she had only started drinking...really!

6:19 PM

Valentines morning the kids and I woke up to red heart balloons everywhere!! Rick got up at 4am and stood in the garage blowing them all up! It was a lovely surprise!

This was my attempt to get a cute picture of Zoe and Lexie in the balloons. Needless to say, it didn't work. Nor did it work trying to get Lex to smile for the camera either. Little bugger!

At least they are darn cute. ;)
