This is my calendar pic for Dec. Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds it funny... ;)

I think it's Max's turn next...Ella had yet another snow day yesterday as her buses were cancelled, and she elected to go to Nana's INSTEAD of school! Nana was VERY obliging, and happy about being chosen over school - methinks... ;)

Last week Rick couldn't find his winter hat. He looked EVERYWHERE (um...excuse me while I roll my eyes!) and couldn't find it. SO, one night when he was working late, I went crochet crazy and made him a hat - and even finished the roll of yarn before he got home! It wasn't quite big enough, but it gave him the idea. I sat in my chair with the hat on, and waited for him to get home.
He came in, gave me a kiss, went to get changed, then went to the kitchen for something to eat. FINALLY I said: "Do you notice anything different?!?" He laughed and said he saw the hat, but knew it wasn't for him, because if it fit me it would never fit him. Then I told him that I actually DID make this for him, and even big enough for his giant head! So he reluctantly tried it on - AND IT FIT!
I cannot tell you how happy he is with his new hat - it's really quite funny! He wears it every day, and loves that I made it extra long so he can roll it up. (It was his request, for some reason..?!?)

Then, on a sad note, I finished this cute little puppy for a woman I work with (that's the good part!), but when she went to take it home that night, it got lost. She NEVER even got to wear it. So this is all that's left, this sad little pic I took with my phone. :(

So, if you see a little hat like this somewhere in St. Marys, kindly return it to Norampac - and we'll get it back to it's owner!!! ;)

Today is a snow day. Max's preschool was cancelled, Ella's buses and school were cancelled, so plans changed in a hurry this morning. Sandra (the new babysitter) said she could take the kids tobogganing if someone could watch Baby Z, so I called Mom.

So instead of tobogganing, Zo-J got to play in the snow with Nana. A pretty good trade-off I think. :)

Oh, and she finally wore her owl hat I made for her! (Ok, so I actually made it for Max, but that's back when I was a novice, and I made it too small for him!)

Ok, please be prepared to be completely bombarded with approx 1 MILLION pics that were taken at the party, and mostly by my dear husband! (Glad he likes the new camera!)

This past Saturday we had the big Vries Christmas with (almost) the entire family. It was fun, but BOY did we eat. Although there were no pics of the food, you can imagine more food than 10 families needed!! But that's what Christmas is all about right? Stuffing yourself with so many yummy appetizers, goodies and dinner that you practically explode? Yup, gotta love Christmas parties. ;)

Now you will notice that I'm not so good with the names of the twins. IN PERSON I know them, and they don't even need to be beside each other, but in pics - I'm lost. Sorry girls!
