Ooops, missed a few... 5:29 PM

Days that is. ;)
But I'm back with avengence!

We were supposed to get the carpet put in today to finish up the basement rooms...but they never showed. Ugh. I got pretty upset for a min thinking that these things ALWAYS seem to happen to US, but then I got thinking of all the crapy things that ppl I know and love have gone through (even lately), and gave myself a good kick in the pants - and got over it. None-the-less, we still have no carpet. I'm hoping they will call with many apologies, and come put it in tomorrow. *La sigh* we'll see...! ;)

Today I went shopping with Zozo and my Mama. Gosh I love shopping. I mean REALLY love shopping. I have tried to hold back for a little over a year now - in my quest to be better for the environment, but it's been hard. I am a shopper at heart (not unlike my mother, and her mother...etc.), it's in my blood, so it's not really my fault right?!?

So today (since I had a GOOD excuse, and a list!) we went to Michaels, Dollarama (this was the worst - I pulled the hyprocrite chip today, normally I don't shop there - I don't believe it buying all this crap made in China - BUT I don't want to spend a fortune on the Easter Egg Hunt party at my house this year. So.... *La sigh* I bought stuff there. Lots of stuff. But no crapy chocolate or anything, just lots of plastic eggs, and a few Easter things.), and Streamers (they bought out the Party Place). It was FUN...I'm so excited about the kids birthday party and the Easter party!!! I LOVE planning and orgainizing it all, and buying all the 'stuff' for it was the icing on the cake!! What fun!
While we were in Michael's, I found a hat for Zoe... LOL! (Needless to say, she wasn't impressed...!)

As I was checking my post for errors, I got looking at this picture again. Look at my mom's face, it's priceless. That's what she looks like ALL THE TIME when her grandkids are around. She's so happy! I'm glad that I could provide that much happiness for her (and my dad - he's the same way!) It's so adorable!! :)

Well, it's off to put all my tax stuff together, and relax in front of the boob-tube for American Idol and then get 'lost' in Lost. Ahhh...good times. :)

A day of Max 3:47 PM

Today I took Max (only!) to the Western Fair Farmers Market since Rick was home feeling sick. Yes, I left my sick husband with the girls!!! *insert wicked laugh here* ;)

But all was good. He wasn't that sick, just didn't feel like going to work. And it was Saturday after all - why NOT have a movie day? :)

So after the farmer's market, we stopped at Inglis because my Dad and my bro were there. Talk about boy heaven..!! Max was in his own little special place the entire time, mesmerized by all the bikes and quads...Ahhhhh, heaven!

It was fun, and it was so nice to have Max to myself (well, and Nana too!).

Amazing new discovery 11:39 AM

So I came across these Chantal Kreviazuk tickets from a friend. I thought it would just be a fun night out with my BFF Liza, no biggie.

As it turned out, I completely FELL IN LOVE with Chantal! She was very funny, not to mention uber-talented! I could not believe how many of her songs I knew!

PLUS, she has a new song called 5000 days - about her kids. I cried. She showed footage of her kids while she was sining it, and all I could think of *of course* was my kidlets. Awwww....my new fav song. :)

I had a blast last night with Liza. We really need to do that more often. :D

Zoe in my new obsession...oh dear! 1:43 PM

Uh oh. A few ppl I know have gotten me over to the "MJ" side...as in Matilda Jane. I'm worried, especially when Ella says she wants a matching dress...

3 sick kids... 5:50 PM

How fun to have 3 sick kids...UGH! At least they were better once they were drugged up this morning!!

Poor Max scared me a little this morning. He acted kind of funny, then puked and looked up at me. He was as white as a ghost. And I honestly don't think I've ever really seen someone do that before. He had no colour - his lips and cheeks...it was just pale, and a lost look in his eyes. My heart leap up to my throat as my 'Mommy-gene' kicked into full gear. He promptly layed down on the floor and tried to go to sleep. The poor little thing! I got him all changed and put him in my bed, where he slept for an hour and half. When he woke he was much better, thank the Lord. :)

Hilarious Max 5:34 PM

My son is completely hilarious. I've been trying to remember the daily conversations I've had with him, but with my horrible mommy-brain, I keep forgetting them all. SO...with all MY mother's wisdom, she told me to jot them down. So here I am (with notes) to tell you my 'Max conversation' for the day:

This morning he wasn't feeling too well, and he wanted to sit with me. Then he kept saying he wanted me to get the 'smarties' that were 'down there' (pointing to the floor). So, I would pretend to grab the Smarties that were so obviously scattered all over my floor.
"No Mommy! Down THERE!"
Oh, right, I must have missed them. Where again?
"Right THERE Mommy!"
Ugh! Sorry, I guess it's harder than I thought - you know, picking up invisible Smarties.
"No Mommy, come wit me..."

He takes my hand and leads me downstairs, where - low and behold there is a BOX OF SMARTIES sitting on the couch from the previous night. (I was gone shopping - see previous post(!) and Daddy had gotten them a box of Smarties!!)

Me: "Oooooh! SMARTIES!!! I got 'cha now - hey buddy - would you like one?"
Max: "No."
Me: "Really? It's SMARTIES...?!?"
Max: "No...I already ate them."
Me: "You already had some?"
Max: "I ate them dismorning."

When he woke up this morning, before he came upstairs, I guess he got his fill of Smarties!! And, although he told me, he still felt so guilty that he would NOT eat any Smarties ALL DAY LONG! Even after dinner I gave him 10 to sort and count, and he didn't eat ONE! LMAO!!!! :D

I didn't get a pic today (Argh!) But I did have these pics I took a couple weeks ago when Max was 'helping' Rick work. It was sooo cute how serious he was. Oh, and what a fun mess to clean up. I'm STILL finding those darn little white styrofoam balls everywhere!! ;)

If there was no diaper there, he would SO have plumber-butt... ;)

Shopping for jewels... 8:50 PM

Wow...another shopping trip over. I feel so....complete, yet sad that it's over so darn fast!

Let me fill you in: My mom and I volunteer at the Alexandra Hospital Gift Shop in Ingersoll, and we get to buy the plush and jewellery. BEST JOB EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) Twice a year we get to go to the CGTA Show and Mode Show in Toronto and buy thousands of dollars worth of jewellery. (Well, ok, maybe just a 'couple' thousand...LOL!) But it's a BLAST! Partly because we are buying lots and lots of jewellery, partly because it's not our money (!) and because my mom and I always have a good time together. It's so handy having your mom be one of you best friends! :)

Since I was gone ALL day, I was away from Baby Z...and since she is still nursing lots, I had to bring my handy-dandy breast pump along with me. What fun that is.

Scenario: me, sitting in a bathroom stall, pumping my breasts - somewhat successfully (there's nothing like the 'actual baby' to make the milk come in the best!), while someone is peeing right beside me. Everything SCREAMS wrong to me (breast milk & bathroom = CONTAMINATED!!), but it's not like I'm saving it for her, so really it's ok. But it just feels sooo wrong.

Then there's the lovely sound it makes, and me sitting there wondering what the heck the people on both sides of me are wondering what I'm doing!!! Ahhh...good times.

So, I finally finish (whew!), dump the liquid gold into the toilet (again, sooo wrong!), and then drop the entire pump on the ground (nice and loudly) and all the pieces bounce into the next (occupied) stall. Again, ahhhh...good times. ;)

After all that fun, I get to bring it out for all to see, rinse it out and then decide what the HECK I'm going to do with a wet breast pump, because I don't want it to leak icky bathroom water all over the contents of my purse. Have I said it before? Ahhhh...good times...?

At least I didn't sit in a nice comfy chair that turned out to be SOAKED with rain water like I did last time we went shopping...now THAT was fun. ;)

Thanks Mom, that was a complete blast, can't wait to do it again in 6 months!!! :D
