Odds and Ends of Winter 2013 6:29 PM

I have my new sewing workstation all set up to sew now! Now all I need, is to learn how to sew. ;)

I've tried a few things - like this sock-skeleton for instance:

I think Zoe likes him the best. ;)
I've also made some bedding for a baby bunk-bed set we got for Zoe for her birthday. It looks pretty good (from afar). LMAO!!

"A fun snow day" was had by all...seriously, I swear Lexie was having a good time too...I swear!!!
 Zoe, aka Frosty.
Nope, she won't even LOOK at my camera, let alone smile. :S
This is as good as it gets.
Ella and Halle so proud of their snowman!
 Ryan, aka child labour. ;)
Ella and Halle SO proud of their snow dragon!

TOTALLY RANDOM PHOTO: Max, so proud of his potato volcano, that he made me take a pic of it. ;)

Colleen's surprise birthday party!! It's great being 35, although lonely for that week (until she turned 35 too!)
Happy with her basket of 'stuff she loves'. :)

Really, she had only started drinking...really!

6:19 PM

Valentines morning the kids and I woke up to red heart balloons everywhere!! Rick got up at 4am and stood in the garage blowing them all up! It was a lovely surprise!

This was my attempt to get a cute picture of Zoe and Lexie in the balloons. Needless to say, it didn't work. Nor did it work trying to get Lex to smile for the camera either. Little bugger!

At least they are darn cute. ;)

Lexie got a new room! 6:12 PM

Lexie-Loo-Loo-Belle finally got her room finished! Luckily she's still young, so she didn't realize that she had gotten the shaft when it came to having a lovely finished 'themed' room. ;)

With the (big) help of Grandpa Bob (aka Bob as Lexie likes to call him) we got the mural up and the hand-made tree and shelves up too. All made by Grandpa Bob. Pretty amazing he is, isn't he?

Here is Zoe attempting to climb the tree (for pretend)...!

Awww Grandpa and his girlies!

Poser Zo

Lexie wasn't too happy to have to sit IN her crib for a pic. Obviously it is ONLY for sleeping in.

Zoe and her Gramps. <3 br="">

Happy for a moment!

Cutie-patootie!!

Eeeek! Is that a smile for the camera? No..it was for Nana.

Happy little girl and her Nana and Grandpa. :)

Max turns SIX!!! 5:55 PM

Wow, I can't believe my little boy (was he ever little?) has turned the big 6. Craziness!!

We started early (hence the eyes that weren't quite used to the light as I flashed away with my camera...LOL!!

A new movie (which has since proven to be too scary!! Oh dear! Oh well, he liked it for a bit anyway..)

A card made by Ella. Awww...<3 br="">

And now the big present...(it was wrapped well by Daddy...)

Oh, now what exactly is it?

A REMOTE CONTROL CAR?!?!?! *Note shock of face*

 YEAH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY!!! :D
It was a great day - we met Uncle Jeff, Mell, Colby and Shay in London for "Little Ray's Reptile Zoo". It was fun! They got to see lots of snakes, birds and even a lynx! Good fun.
Then afterwards it was off to Max's favourite restaurant...can you guess it? Yup...McDonalds. *groan* Uncle Jeff and crew came along and the kids all got to play in the playland together. Great fun!!
At 2pm Max and Ella went to the library in Ingersoll for a Mad Science presentation, which they learned about how the eye works and how it can be deceived. Then they made a periscope! Wahooo!! We came back to relax, and then had pasta for dinner. I actually made a pasta that Max loved MORE than Kraft Dinner. SERIOUSLY. He was a happy, happy boy. :)
Then of course chocolate cupcakes for his birthday dessert. YUM!!

After dinner Daddy got the RC car all ready to go, and off he went!! He was pretty darn good too! Rick and I were worried that this had a bit too much power for Max, but he did great. He's obviously a natural, obviously. ;)

(He had to stop and clean the windshield every few moments - because "There's NO windshield wipers Mommy!")

And Ella, sneaking a pose in there...

Yes, he did try to run his sisters over. But then again, that's what you are supposed to do as the brother aren't you? That's how I grew up anyway. Jeff... JEFF?!??!?!

It was a good day all around. And now, more parties to come!!! (Does it ever end? NO! BRING IT ON!!!)

Max's 6th Birthday PARTY!!! 3:45 PM

Oh what fun it was today! First, we got Shaylyn here for the day as Colby had hockey with Daddy. The girls were SO excited to have her here!! Ella desperately wants her to sleep over, but I think her Daddy wants more time, so we'll have to leave that one for another night...

Max was so excited, and wanted me to make these skull and crossbones ties for all of his friends, and yet none of them wanted to wear them!! LMAO!!! Luckily they were easy and fast to make, so I didn't care too much. At least I got a good pic of them!

First Lexie did NOT want to sit for the pic, but then once finding a balloon, was happy to sit down beside Max. NOT in front of him, beside Ella as Daddy and I suggested...no....only beside Max. ;)

The table ready for it's guests to arrive...

Max waiting patiently (and playing!)

So excited!!

Hangin' out with Skeleton Jack.

Finally they arrive!! Isaac, Kenneth, Hunter and Aiden. A fab-five if I ever saw one. ;)
Isaac!

 Hunter!

 Kenneth painting away...

Aiden, all smiles as usual. :)

And, crazy Max. ;)

Experiment time!!
(I almost forgot - Daddy was also invited. Every time I asked Max to come up with his list, Daddy was #1, so Rick booked the day off, and helped the entire time.)

Craft time - we made skeleton hands!

CAKE!!! It's JACK!!!

(For the record, the candles in his mouth were NOT supposed to look like cigarettes, but they did. Oops. Luckily the kid didn't notice.)

Uh oh...going crazy...!

Oh whew - happy again!

The boys with their ties and skeleton cups....MEEEEAN!

Oh again - happy!!

Little Lexie Loo-Loo-Belle colouring. Her favourite past-time. :)

After the party bonding. <3 br="">
Phew!! Another year done. Now just the family parties tomorrow and the next day...!! WHEW!!!
