Peter Pan in Stratford 12:38 PM

For Ella's 5th birthday this year Mom bought Ella her first Stratford Festival play ticket. Of course I got to go too! (Except she didn't buy MY ticket!!) We decided that Peter Pan would be perfect - and it WAS!!!!
Ella was a PERFECT DOLL for the entire thing. We went out to lunch first (although I had been sick, so I wasn't up to much!) and she kept asking: "Is it time to go see Peter Pan yet?" So cute! She was literally ON THE EDGE of her seat the ENTIRE time. She would look over at me and smile, then squish close to me for a squish hug. Adorable!

Here she is dancing before Peter - I believe she is being Tinkerbell

*Le sigh* "Is it time to go see Peter Pan yet?"

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Tinkerbell, they used a light (kind of like a flashlight) shaped like a fairy, and then she would magically go into things and light them up. It was done really well.
Yesterday while I was watching her dance in the livingroom after supper, the remote control was sitting on the arm of my chair, and reflecting a spot on the wall. So I moved it and told her to look. She watched the moving light for a minute, then turned to me and very seriously asked if it was a real fairy. My heart leapt up into my chest - what do I say? I thought for a moment, then told her the truth, but also mentioned that I'm an avid believer in fairies, so she'll have to keep her eyes open to see a REAL one someday.

It's amazing being five, it really is. :)

3 sick kids? I don't know about that... 1:08 PM

Yesterday we had a sick day. BUT, we got over it quicker than I anticipated (which was nice!) and we ended up having a wonderful day! Oh, note Zoe's new hat - made by my crazy crochet lady Angela. Isn't it simply DARLING?!?! (That's for you GG!)

Chillin', watching a movie and eating popcorn. Zoe was RIGHT in there!!

Ella, pregnant. Can you tell?!?! (Yes, funny NOW, not so much in a few years! :S)

Sitting on their eggs.

Ella mowing the lawn 12:45 PM

Oh yes she did! Rick mowed almost the entire back lawn the other night. The kids raced to eat their dinner so they could go help Daddy, and boy did they!!
Rick actually let Ella steer and cut the last little patch of grass! It took a *tiny* bit longer, but she did it!! It was so cute!

(I couldn't help but to include my lovely full laundry line...) ;)

And...my crazy children. (Ella did her hair ALL BY HERSELF! WOW I know!)

A fun fashion show 12:26 PM

I've just started buying clothes online for the kids. So much more to pick from! :) Well, ok, I've only done it once (although I've made one other purchase since!), so I'm still a noobie!!!!

We received our first package on Friday night, and I wanted to wake Ella up soooo badly so she could try it all on! ...but alas, I had to wait until the next day ;)

(Note the 'poses'? Hilarious!)

Nothing like a good twirl shot.

Max decided he wanted in on this action, so he's posing with Ella...and NO, that is NOT his middle finger, it's actually his ring finger. (not really sure where that pose came from..?!?!?)

Cracking me up!!!! :D

Now Zoe wanted in on the action!

She's getting right into it!

LOL!!!! These pics are just cracking me up!!

When all was said and done, I actually got 2 decent pics of all 3 of them!! YEAH FOR ME!!

HA! And I thought it was hard to get TWO kids to sit for a picture!!! LOL!

I 'Bento'd!!!! 6:22 AM

Yesterday we recieved our Goodbyn lunchboxes for Ella and Max! They come with stickers for them to decorate! WHAT FUN!
After the kids decorated them, I washed them and then realized that Ella could use a 'dinner' today - so I got to pack my first Bento-style lunch!

I have to say, I'm in LOVE. It was soooo much easier! I just opened it up, and filled all the spots. No fooling with little containers, trying to find lids, and using pre-packaged foods. It was AWESOMELY easy. :)

My inspiration: http://www.anotherlunch.com/
I think I'll be checking her out more and more once Sept starts and I'm making lunches every other day for the kidlets!!

I found this on their website:
"We chose to use a local printer in Washington state, because they offered local quality with corporate efficiencies. They are FSC-certified and are very much in-tune with their waste and recycling procedures. We utilize their unique printing expertise with vegetable-based inks, recycled materials, and water-based solvent adhesives. We also use their warehouse to store, assemble and fulfill orders for Goodbyn. They’re the last link in the chain before Goodbyns reach their next destination: the store shelves and really excited kids."

Mmm...can't wait to see if she liked her lunch!! :)

Parks are just fun. 11:21 AM

This past weekend we had a Holbrook reunion at my mom's cousin Anne's house in Ancaster. Since Rick wasn't too keen on it, I decided to just take Ella. We knew Anne had a pool, so I figured we could swim all afternoon!
As it turns out, the weather was NOT cooperating, but after supper, the sun came out and we managed to fit in a swim!! (Thanks for the pics Mom!)

Ella and GG! So cute!! :)

(Horrible pic from my phone) Ella, way past her bedtime, patiently waiting for Nana and Grandpa to drive us home! (She was freezing so we put on Grandpa's work coat, and covered her legs with a towel!)

Sunday Rick and I took the kids to the park in Woodstock. I packed a picnic and off we went!
